Create an Autumn Arrangement
This project was basically a fun excuse to gather autumn treasures during my walks through the woods. So next time you go on a hike or a walk, find things that catch your eye: grasses, acorns, leaves, sticks… Then follow these steps to create a centerpiece for your table and enjoy the beauty of nature all season long!
Supplies Needed
Gathered foliage
Floral tape
Floral wire
Floral foam block
Wooden skewers
Scissors or garden sheers
Hot glue gun (and glue)
Let’s Create!
Start with the floral foam block. You can use it alone, or set in on or in a dish or vase. Or you can arrange it around a candelabra like i did!
For foliage like leaves that don’t have rigid stems, use the floral tape to attach them to the wooden skewer. Now they will stick into the foam!
If acorns are part of your gathered treasures, use hot glue to secure that caps and reattach them to the branches (as they will probably begin to fall apart as they dry).
Now that all of your foliage has been prepped and your foam block is ready, its time to start arranging! Start with the statement pieces then fill in around them with smaller, bushier pieces until you have achieved the look you want!
